The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) who monitored the diet routine of 500,000 Americans and categorized them into 20 groups by their eating habits, has found that the group which has consumed the most red meat has demonstrated a higher risk by 2 times to colorectal cancer than the group consumed the least red meat. The chances of them having colon cancer, is also 40% higher. Studies have found that if the tea water temperature is lower than 68.8 degrees, it is considered as normal tea water, if the temperature is higher than 70 degrees, the people who consumed it has 8 times higher risk to develop esophageal cancer than those people who drink normal tea water with lower temperature. The light reflected during evening may have reduced melatonin secreted, a chemical substance with the potential to fight cancer, thus disruption in working and resting hours will impair our immune system in against cancer cells. The research has also showed that people with vitamin A and beta carotene deficiency are 3 times higher to develop lung cancer. For people with vitamin C deficiency are 2 times and 3.5 times higher risk to develop esophageal cancer and gastric cancer respectively. Although high cholesterol level is harmful to our health, but low cholesterol level is not good too. The study has found that “good” cholesterol HDL level should maintained below 2.8 mmol per liter, if the level goes higher, so will the risk of lymphoma and leukemia.Genetic studies have shown that breast, ovarian, prostate and colon cancer is the four largest genetic cancer groups. Thus, the probability of the offspring will have a greater chance if the family member had demonstrates any signs of cancer.
